The couple had the honor of working with Stanley Kubrick on his final film, "Eyes Wide Shut," a project that required 15 months to complete.
The announcement came as a surprise to many, as the couple has repeatedly denied reports of marital problems over the past years, including several successful court cases against various publications and a bizarre wire-tapping case. That case ended with a reporter admitting to listening in on a conversation between the two during which Kidman reportedly told Cruise that their marriage was "hanging by a thread."
Nicole Kidman: 'I Still Love Cruise'
Nicole Kidman has poured out her heart about her feelings for ex-husband Tom Cruise, admitting she still loves the movie superstar.
The couple split in 2000 and Cruise is now engaged to marry Katie Holmes, the mother of his new baby daughter, Suri. However,Kidman tells magazine Ladies Home Journal she's still very fond of the Top Gun star.
The actress says, "He was huge; still is. To me, he was just Tom, this lovely man, but to everybody else, he is huge. But he was lovely to me. And I loved him. I still love him." |
